Cardio or weightlifting?
It depends on your goals.
For losing fat, low-impact cardio like walking will be the go-to exercise, along with high-impact cardio like running.
HIIT workouts would also be beneficial for losing weight.
However, as you may know, lifting weights is much more beneficial for someone who just wants to build muscle.
Many people don't know that weight loss can also be achieved by lifting weights, but there is one vital aspect that almost no beginner takes into consideration: DIET
I would first recommend that you fix your diet before trying to figure out which kind of exercise form would benefit you.
There will be no losing or gaining weight without a proper calorie deficit/surplus.
You just have to carefully watch your calorie intake. That's it.
